General Eligibility Criteria to Apply for an Internship:
- GPA: 2.5 or better, student in good standing
- 24 hours of earned credits at time of internship
- Approval of Curriculum Chair or other designated faculty in Major
- Ability to work 8 hours a week/120 hours in the internship over the 15-week semester for 3 credits, in addition to coursework assignments and any necessary meetings as determined by the faculty
Our goal is to help students find work-based experiences connected to their major to increase connection to students’ career pathway. Some of the current opportunities are in the following career fields: Criminal Justice, Marketing & Business Management, Department-based Social Media, Information Technology, Web Services, Instructional Technology Support, Communication Arts, Environmental Science & Sustainability, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, in addition to working in various departments in the Westchester County Government.

Need experience to build career development skills and enhance your resume? Career Services has partnered with Forage to help make this happen. Forage is an online resource which offers virtual simulation experiences designed by leading companies. These experiences develop your skills, give you a real understanding of different roles in various sectors through self-paced modules, and provide opportunities to engage in tasks similar to those you would undertake during a traditional internship.
Need an internship that fits your schedule? Consider a micro-internship. These are short-term, paid professional assignments that are similar to those given to new hires or interns?
