SUMMARY:A Future for Women: Reenvisioning Our Future in Collaboration with our Past
DESCRIPTION:Classroom Building\, Room CLA 209 \nHosted by Prof. Christolyn Williams\nLet’s have a conversation about how women are increasingly taking on leadership roles at both national and local levels\, particularly in sustainable development and human rights. Their representation is also expanding across federal agencies\, universities\, and global organizations. In major cities\, women are leading innovation hubs and launching technology incubators that support Indigenous and Afro-descendant entrepreneurs. At the same time\, women are emerging as powerful cultural ambassadors\, shaping narratives through film\, literature\, digital art\, and music\, with a strong influence in both Hollywood and independent media to promote inclusive\, forward-looking storytelling.
